A multilingual note-sharing platform for my school
2024 — Present · Designer & Full-stack Developer
I proposed a note-sharing system to my school, built a prototype, and shipped it to a production environment. Since launch it has grown to over 500 users with more than 100 shared notes.
ZNotes lets students upload and browse study material as PDFs, HTML pages, or videos, organise it into collections and folders, and earn points for contributing. Everything is fully localised across 16 locales, including vocabulary lists with pinyin support.

Fully internationalised with next-intl — every locale is checked in CI so no translation key is ever missing.
Rich study material
PDF, HTML and video notes with a TipTap rich-text editor, collections, folders and a built-in PDF toolkit.
Modern auth
Better Auth with Google OAuth and passkey support, plus role-based access for teachers and admins.
Gamified sharing
Contributors earn points for uploaded notes, keeping the library growing on its own.
